Versa Pak Expansion 2021
“With customer demands and growth, we’ve been pushed to add more capacity,” said Versa Pak president Michael Brunswick. “This expansion will allow us to serve a bigger part of that business sector.”
He added, “This expansion is part of our growth strategy of being able to reach out to new customers. We also have current customers with a higher demand, but we don’t have the capacity to fulfill those demands right now.”
The $15 million project – $12 million of which will go toward building additional lines – is set to begin in March and will take about six months. At its completion, it will add over a dozen new jobs to the facility.
2020 was a record year for the company, with nearly 43 million pounds of poly products produced, and Brunswick said the expansion is part of the company’s plan for a growth-minded future: “We’re excited about the future of Versa Pak and where the company is heading, this year and beyond.”
The expansion will also make use of a $125,000 grant that Versa Pak received from the Ohio Rail Development Commission, which will help pay for improvements to the on-site rail infrastructure.
