"When I moved to Ohio from Hawaii I didn't think I would stay long. I needed a job so I started at Versa Pak as a line operator. I immediately fell in love with the people and the atmosphere. I worked my way up to being a supervisor. It was long and arduous but in the end, was totally worth it. Versa Pak has given me the chance to be able to provide and care for my family better than I ever thought I would be able to. For that, I am eternally grateful."

Meet Your Trainer: Ryan Baer
We’ve taken a new approach to employee training at Versa Pak. By mixing a formal classroom environment with hands-on learning, we’re able to meet the needs of different types of learners starting with the company — and we’ve seen a positive outcome in the long run.
When he’s not presenting forklift training or training tenured employees on updates to processes, Versa Pak’s trainer Ryan Baer facilitates our new hire training every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
“We just have a good, healthy atmosphere here as far as conversation … It’s somewhere I know where I can walk into in the morning with a smile on my face, and when I walk out the door at the end of the day, I have a smile on my face,” he says.
